The promise of immortality. Specifically, Tom promised you immortality. Then, right when he was supposed to pay up, he dove into a chasm. And like a good villain, it turns out he didn’t die.
Speaking of not dying, Dr. João Pedro de Magalhães joins us today to set us straight about aging, dying, and, uh, not doing those things. Dr. de Magalhães studies the aging process and how we might defeat it. In other words, he’s a great guy doing a great thing. One thing I love about him is that he’s a real futurist: he’s not afraid to imagine out loud. If you’re interested in gerontology, biogerontology, senescence, anti-aging science, or anything in their general vicinities, you’re going to enjoy this one.
